A medical doctor, Dr Aderiyike Oni-Salawu, has been abducted by unknown gunmen on her way home in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The report said the kidnapped doctor is the spouse of the youth leader of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Hon. Isiaka Oni-Salawu.
The situation has caused a stir in her community as aggrieved friends, family and medical association have berated Governor Seyi Makinde over insecurity in the state.
The victim was said to have been kidnapped at around 10.20 pm on Sunday in the Aromolaran area of Ibadan.
Oni-Salawu, who was driving an ambulance, was said to be heading home after closing from work when the gunmen struck.
Her husband was said to have been driving a car behind the victim and on getting to the gate of their residence, the wife alighted and was about to open the gate when the hoodlums swooped on her and whisked her away.
The husband, however, escaped from the hoodlums.
